Why does Flock Alert need "Always On" location access?
Proximity alerts only work when the app can monitor your location in the background — for example, while you're driving with your phone in your pocket. If you only grant "While Using" access, you won't receive alerts unless the app is open.
Does Flock Alert track or store my location?
No. Your location is processed entirely on-device and is never sent to our servers. We do not store location history anywhere.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Flock Alert → Cancel Subscription. You can also manage it from within the app under Profile → Settings → Manage Subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Flock Alert → tap the upgrade button → scroll to the bottom of the paywall and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → scroll down → tap "Delete Account." This permanently removes your profile, points, and contribution history from the device. Your camera reports remain in the community database as anonymous contributions.
I'm not receiving proximity alerts. What should I check?
1. Open Settings → Flock Alert → Location → set to "Always." 2. Open Settings → Flock Alert → Notifications → ensure alerts are enabled. 3. Make sure Low Power Mode is off, as it can delay background app activity.
How accurate is the camera database?
Camera data comes from public records, open datasets, and community contributions. Coverage and accuracy vary by region. If you find a camera that's missing or incorrectly placed, please submit a report in the app.
